Now, this is a time for an epic historical movie that is popular all over the world. Troy is an ideal example of an epic historical war drama film based on Homer's Iliad. This movie able to won several awards like Academy Award. This movie shows us the then society and gives a brief description of ancient society.

Summary-

Film start with Agamemnon, a king who came to the King Triopas of Thessaly and tell to join in war with them and they decide to organize a war between 2 person each 1 from the kings. Then King of Tripas call a strong soldier and Agamemnon call Achilles although he was not present there but soon he came there and easily defeat the opponent soldier. The prince of Troy Hector ( who was also a great soldier of Troy) and his young brother Paris came to Sparta for the of stopping war. While they stay in Sparta Paris falls in love with the young queen of Sparta Helen .and flew from there to Troy with Hector and others. While Hector learns this he frustrated with his brother and tried to give him back. But it was too late and Sparta already declared war against Troy. Agamemnon brother who is the King of Sparta request him for help in war and he agreed immediately. For this war he badly needed Achilles but he previously denied joining any war so he sent a King to request him to join in the war. On day Achilles attack Sparta first with his army and start destroying opponent soldiers. Coming back to the shelter Achilles sees a girl ( the cousin of Hector). While king Agamemnon tried to get the girl but Achilles strongly denied him. On the next day Paris fight against Agamemnon,s brother and Paris severely wounded. Next night Achilles came back to rescue the girl. With this Achilles frustrated and decided to go back but his cousin doesn't want to go back as he wants to fight against the army and he started the war against the army of the opponent in this time he dresses up like Achilles in this war he died. While Achilles learns his cousin died in war he became furious and came in front of the castle of Troy and challenges Hector for fighting. This fighting screen is very very amazing. In this war Hector die. King of Troy meet with Achilles and they decided to stop the war for 12 days. After 12 days one of the warrior plans to make a big horse made of wood and tried to send this under the castle as the wall of the castle is too hard to break. Trojan people think the horse as a gift of Poseidon (god) and bring this in the city(Troy). At midnight Achilles and other warriors came out from the wooden horse and destroyed the whole city. In fight Agamemnon was killed by Hector,s cousin. Achilles comes in fight in this time young prince Paris came and attack Achilles with an arrow in his knee then Achilles died in the war.

Conclusion- The story of the movie presents some great lessons to us. Some of them are described below. This movie helps you to learn about a brief description of past civilization. Beside if you yet not read Iliad watch it give you enough information of the epic.

• Don't trust any enormous gifts from strangers. You have no clue what in it. Don't accept gifts from strangers.

• Women can destroy everything. ( Helen became the only reason for the war.)
• The world is full of opportunists.
• We all should try to be a Hector not Paris.
• IF you are courageous and hardworking like Achilles you definitely won.
• War is the most evil thing in the world. Any kind of war can just bring destruction and sorrow. (After the death of the cousin of Aschilies, Aschilies realize the truth.)
• Never judge a book by its cover. (In the very beginning scene of the movie we can find the example.
• In the end of every war both the opponent loses.
