A great historical movie based on the first war for independence of Scotland. This movie is inspired by some true historical events that occur in the struggle against England. This movie able to won several awards including nominated for ten Academy Awards and won five: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Makeup, and Best Sound Effects Editing.

Summary-.
After the death of the king of Scotland the King of England Edward l ( Longshanks) take the throne of Scotland. Rebellion of the Scotland marge and planned to free Scotland from the hand of Edward l Longshanks. Longshanks held a secret meeting with the rebellious army and Longshanks prove him as a traitor to the rebellion army by killing them secretly. Young William Wallace,s father also killed in this secret killing. The uncle of Young Wallace take him away from Scotland. At this time Young Wallace traveled a lot. After some years he came back to his motherland and all of his countrymen thought that he also fights against the like his father against the English for the independence of Scotland but he strongly denied this. Here he meet with his childhood friends and a girl named Murron Mac Clannough. Soon they became very close to each other and they married secretly. One day a soldier of England tease Murron as she slapped the soldier and the soldier tried to rape her but Wallace came there to rescue her. In war he tell Murron to flew but the soldiers of England able to find her and killed by a knife. While he came back to the village he learns that they killed Murron and started fighting against the soldiers of England common villagers also join with Wallace and they defeated the army of England. They the countrymen learn that Wallace gets independent in their village all are joined in his army. They attack the number of villages and got independent and then they attack on the magistrate and take control of a town. While the king learns about the matter and tells his young son to stop Wallace. Prince sent a team of warriors in the war of Stirling. By seeing this large army everyone fear but Wallace motivate and in this war, Wallace won and the noble person of Scotland honored him as Sir. Then Wallace asks Robert Bruce for help. Next they attacked York City then destroy and sent the head of Kings cousin to King Longshanks. After seeing this Longshanks decide to sent Isabella to Wallace. In meeting Wallace strongly denied her proposal for negotiation in thy we find Isabella is interested in Wallace personality. After reaching England Isabella learn that Longshanks going to attack on York City and Isabella informs this to Wallace. Wallace went Robert Bruce for help and he agreed to do so. Before starting war two leaders leave the Scottish army because Longshanks gift him a large area of land. When King Longshanks going back Wallace followed him for attacking another soldier follow Wallace to stop in fight Wallace finds it was Robert Bruce when Wallace sees this he totally breaks down because everyone betrayed his trust. By seeing the dead body of Scottish people Robert Bruce feeling pity for his deed and also quarreled with his father because he never wants to fight against Scotland just because of his father he has done this. In this war most of the warriors die. Now start the Gurellia war and able to kill a large amount of British army. Once again Longshanks sent Isabella to Wallace and this time Wallace ask Isabella why she help him many times? Then Isabella replied that she loves him after that they set physical relationships and the next morning she started a journey for England. Robert Bruce came to Wallace as he want to fight together against Longshanks but Wallace was captured. After seeing this Bruce became furious and his father said that it's was just a deal. In England soldiers heavily tortured, Wallace and Isabella came to visit Longshanks as she wants to beg the life of Wallace. But he didn't answer then Isabella told Longshanks as that she was pregnant and Wallace was the father of the England,s next king. The next day Wallace was tortured as much as possible and they hang the head of Wallace on the pull of London and also cut hand and leg. After this all Scottish merged together and they jointly attack on England and finally they got independent in 1314. Scotland won independence from the hand of England.
Conclusion -
- A real man never follows title they follow courage- Wallace does not belong to kings' family and he never wants to be king of Scotland. In the middle of the movie, we witnessed that the freedom fighters divided into groups for ruling in Scotland Young Wallace decided to attack England to make Robert Bruce as a king. All of the things which he does for his country just because of spirit in spite of any earthly things.
- Never give up- Younge Wallace start the fight against England if he has given up while British soldiers killed his wife it could be never possible. During this war he faced many hard times when his friends are dying, betrayal of Robert Bruce, and some other commander he never stop war. In fact he is ready to fight alone against the British army.
- Loyalty- Throughout the movie we find Wallace as a loyal lover, husband, freedom fighter. This quality is one of the essential for becoming a great leader.
- Make a particular aim- After the death of Wallace wife he makes a goal/aim for the independence of Scotland. For getting success in his aim he paid large value including his life.
- Aggressiveness - Throughout the struggle against British Wallace aggressiveness is notable. This quality-made him a powerful leader. He continually attack England because of this mindset Scotland able to earn independence in less time.
- Leading in front - Throughout the war Wallace leading the rebellion in front. He always motivates his army.
- Ethics and values - Wallace through the movie follow this quality .in movie we find King Longshanks offer him gold, money, and various precious thing for not doing the rebellion against England. Because of this ethics and values he denied all proposals of Longshanks.
