Summary- The story of the film about Walton academy. In this school rules are strictly observed. A student name Todd Anderson come to study soon he become friend with Neil Perry. Few days later and a new English teacher came to take clas, named John Keating. On the first day in his class everyone surprised to see his different teaching methods.On the first day teacher say, O captain, my captain, to all students and then he tells them to follow him. In the next lesson Keating advice all students to stand up on the branch to demonstrate a way to see life in a different view. Next teacher Keat told Parry to read the poetry instruction page and told the all students to tear the instruction page. The headteacher Gale Nolan doesn't like the teaching techniques of Keating. Somehow the students learn that while Keating studying in the school he and his friend made a society name 'Dead Poets Society' where all discuss literature and something else. With the help of Keating Neil able to discover his passion for acting. By his parents doesn't like it at all but his father forced him to stop acting and focusing on studying. While Neils's father discovers that his son played in a play he became furious with his son and finally decided to change his school. After this Neil committed suicide. In this time some of the students of Neil class tell everything about The Dead Poet Society to the headteacher. While the headteacher of the school learn about this they decided to punish all students and also say Keating from resigning his job. Before going home Mr. Keating while come class Tood stand up and say 'O Captain My Captain'. Soon all the students pay tribute to him by saying' O captain my captain' and saying him goodbye. By seeing this Nolan became furious at the behavior of the student and Keating became emotional as he was able to teach the life lesson to his students. As the movie end.
